Actually, more like, let it snow. But I've been singing "Let it Rain" by David Nail for like the past week and that was the first thing that came to mind, so yeah. Don't really know why, because I have this thing against country music, but for some reason, I don't mind this song at all.
So anyway, yesterday was... Christmas! Got to go to church in the morning (Sacrament Meeting only and it was the choir program; AMAZING.), then came home and opened presents. I got a new tripod for my camera, I'm sooooo excited to get out and use it. And I got a bunch of other things that I asked for. All in all, good day, good Christmas, good times.
As for the animal side of life, just calculated Clover's due date. First day she could go is February 7th and last day she could go is March 1st. I'm not really thinking that she's pregnant; the buck wasn't really interested in her and she's getting pretty old. But I guess we'll have to wait and see!
Fingers crossed that Purty is pregnant too. I'm still trying to figure out her due date. She didn't get put in with the ram when I wanted her in, so I'm hoping she got bred right off the bat. Not sure though. I really, really, really, really, REALLY hope she's bred though. If not, then I guess it'll give her another year to put on some size for the next breeding season.
The reindeeries are doing great. Benji is just ginormous and Henry's not looking bad either. A month or so ago Henry slipped on the ice and twisted a hind leg. But he's stopped gimping around, so we just have to worry about that abscess on his front shoulder. It's not super bad anymore and he walks fine on it, but it just does not stop draining! Maybe this summer when I can get him out more and excersise the deer then the infection will work itself out. Let's hope!
I NEED to go ride Borie today. She needs something to keep her busy. She's recently taken to eating one of the trees in the pasture because I sprayed a bunch of "No-Chew" in the barn. Crazy horsey. So my goal is at 2:00 I am GOING to go ride her. Even though it's cold out and I really don't feel like it. I'll probably just go bareback because it's too much of a hassle to saddle and bridle her up. Bleck.
Well, this weekend there's the New Years Dance! I am sooooo stinkin' excited for that! It feels like it's been forever since there's been a dance! So this'll be fun.
So, that's what's been going on in my life. Good stuff.
