Actually, more like, let it snow. But I've been singing "Let it Rain" by David Nail for like the past week and that was the first thing that came to mind, so yeah. Don't really know why, because I have this thing against country music, but for some reason, I don't mind this song at all.
So anyway, yesterday was... Christmas! Got to go to church in the morning (Sacrament Meeting only and it was the choir program; AMAZING.), then came home and opened presents. I got a new tripod for my camera, I'm sooooo excited to get out and use it. And I got a bunch of other things that I asked for. All in all, good day, good Christmas, good times.
As for the animal side of life, just calculated Clover's due date. First day she could go is February 7th and last day she could go is March 1st. I'm not really thinking that she's pregnant; the buck wasn't really interested in her and she's getting pretty old. But I guess we'll have to wait and see!
Fingers crossed that Purty is pregnant too. I'm still trying to figure out her due date. She didn't get put in with the ram when I wanted her in, so I'm hoping she got bred right off the bat. Not sure though. I really, really, really, really, REALLY hope she's bred though. If not, then I guess it'll give her another year to put on some size for the next breeding season.
The reindeeries are doing great. Benji is just ginormous and Henry's not looking bad either. A month or so ago Henry slipped on the ice and twisted a hind leg. But he's stopped gimping around, so we just have to worry about that abscess on his front shoulder. It's not super bad anymore and he walks fine on it, but it just does not stop draining! Maybe this summer when I can get him out more and excersise the deer then the infection will work itself out. Let's hope!
I NEED to go ride Borie today. She needs something to keep her busy. She's recently taken to eating one of the trees in the pasture because I sprayed a bunch of "No-Chew" in the barn. Crazy horsey. So my goal is at 2:00 I am GOING to go ride her. Even though it's cold out and I really don't feel like it. I'll probably just go bareback because it's too much of a hassle to saddle and bridle her up. Bleck.
Well, this weekend there's the New Years Dance! I am sooooo stinkin' excited for that! It feels like it's been forever since there's been a dance! So this'll be fun.
So, that's what's been going on in my life. Good stuff.

Happily Ever After
Once upon a time,
In a land far, far away,
Was a tower hard to climb,
With it's bricks a gleaming gray.
Inside there was a princess,
So beautiful was she,
But her head completely thoughtless,
Her brain much like a pea.
There she sat, throughout the day,
Awaiting for the moment right,
When a man on a handsome bay,
Would turn out to be her courageous knight.
Deep in the forest, a mile off,
Lay a maiden more beautiful still,
A poisoned apple causing a cough,
Severe enough to kill.
She waited too, for a knight of her own,
For true loves awakening kiss,
For the chance to be a queen on the throne,
For a life of joyful bliss.
Inside a glass coffin the maiden slept,
Surrounded by little fat elves,
Each with a thought they privately kept,
"We'll have the house all to ourselves!"
High upon a mountain,
Was another pretty girl,
Entrapped inside a mansion,
With a man who made her hurl.
The "beast" she called him spitefully,
Had a horrendous complexion,
With a nose that was large abnormally,
And toes with a fungal infection.
She often too dreamed of a savior,
A boy with a handsome face,
Someone with a normal behavior,
Not lacking in manner or grace.
Just around the corner,
There was another still,
A princess making dinner,
In a dress without the frills.
She then did the dishes, swept the floor,
And folded all the clothing,
Trying to please the family of four,
To whom she was administering.
Unbeknownst to these four ladies,
Their knights were on their way,
Ready to accept the dowries,
That would no doubt be theirs today.
Prince Charmings were they, one and all,
Each handsome in his separate way,
With countenances strong and tall,
And clothes without a fray.
The first carried a golden mirror,
Peering handsomely at his reflection,
The second brought his newspaper nearer,
Enthralled within the sports section.
The third brave knight flexed his muscles,
Feeling very strong,
The fourth explained how eating brussels,
Could help you live very long.
From out of no where a dragon appeared,
With fiery breath and speed,
So the first brave knight volunteered,
For the ladies had to be freed.
Stepping cautiously up to the beast,
The first knight trembled with fear,
Suddenly he took of fast for the east,
Never again to appear.
The second prince, with his nose in a book,
Didn't realize that it was his turn,
And instead read about a pastry cook,
Instead of the present concern.
The third charming man stepped up to the task,
With little or no hesitation,
Until he tripped, and why you must ask?
Well, this really was not his vocation.
With one final chance, the fourth knight approached,
Adjusting his broadly rimmed spectacles,
However, having had never been coached,
The equation was one he found boggles.
The dragon did proudly boast of his victory,
Four princes defeated today!
However, the statement was quite contradictory,
As most of them managed to stay.
The second young prince, had finished his story,
And looked up in great astonishment,
For each of the men, searching for glory,
Had come to no great accomplishment.
The third strong knight picked himself up,
And dusting the dirt from his armor,
He resolved to ignore the previous hiccup,
Confronting the monster with renewed valor.
And... that's all I can come up with tonight. I guess you'll have to wait and see how it ends!
"Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and bless his name." -Psalm 100: 2,4

My Grandiose Plans...
Grandiose. I like that word. Anyway, like lots of other young people my age, I've got plans for the future. BIG plans. Of course, I don't know if all of them will happen, but hey, it's never a bad idea to set goals! Am I right? Right.
So, since I could probably go on forever about all of my goals (because I have alot), I think I'll just limit myself to my top 15. These are not in any specific order... so, here goes...
1. Graduate with a GPA no lower than 3.8.
2. Get into the Photography program at BYU Idaho.
3. Learn how to drive a standard transmission well.
4. Spend some time in Italy studying European art.
5. Become a licensed photographer.
6. Fall in love and get married in the temple... if I have a choice, definitely the San Diego temple.
7. Open a portrait photography studio.
8. Visit all 50 states.
9. Meet the prophet.
10. Have a book/short story published.
11. Have children, at least two.
12. Open a retirement center for horses. (Yes, this is a goal of mine.)
13. Learn how to swing dance.
14. Own a grand piano.
15. Read all of the standard works.
Well, now you know some of my life's goals. Of course, I'm constantly coming up with more, but for now, this'll do!
I absolutely loved today's scripture!
"All these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good." -Doctrine and Covenants 122:7

Songs of the Day
Well, my "playlist" for today goes as follows...
Hollywood- by Michael Buble
Keep Your Head Up- by Andy Grammar
Haven't Met You Yet- by Michael Buble (Yes, it's a Michael Buble Day.)
Love Song- by Sarah Bareilles
Don't You Know You're Beautiful- by Kellie Pickler (Yeah, I know, it's a country song. But strangely enough I like this one.)
And of course...
Just the Way You Are- by Bruno Mars
The day just wouldn't be complete without it.
Hm, lots of happy songs! Looks like it's gonna be a good day!
Pretty excited for the rest of the week actually. Work this Saturday at the farm with the deer (that's always fun) and then the Nativity for Colony Christmas on Sunday! Plus, photography class this Friday and we're going to be learning more about portraits, so that's always good.
Of course, today the horses need their feet trimmed (blargh) and Henry (my other reindeer steer) needs some first aide treatment (He's still recovering from a deep tissue abscess in his shoulder). AND the barn needs fixed because my block headed horse decided to chew the support beams. So, other than those few chores, looks to be a good rest of the week!
And for the scripture of the day...
"My soul delighteth in the scriptures, and my heart pondereth them." -2nd Nephi 4:15

Benjamin's Bald!
Yeps. You heard me right. My baby Benjamin is officially bald. Just to clear things, in case you're feeling a little confused, Benjamin is one if my two little reindeer. And he just lost his other antler! He's been half bald for about... oh, a month or so. But no longer.
So, not a whole lot going on today. Well, other than the usual. School... study... blarg. Tonight is mutual. It's combined and we're setting up Christmas trees for the Nativity. It's probably the absolute WORST activity ever. They have it like every year and it's a pain. 'Nuff said.
Anywho, there was this poem/rap that I saw on facebook and I thought I would reshare because I thought it was AHA-MAZING. Here it is...
"So I like to start off with something simple.
That's right. A rap ALL about Mormon pick up lines. Amazing.
So, that's about all I've got for the day. OH! I almost forgot the scripture of the day... hold on a sec while I look it up...
Okay, it's in Alma 19:13: "He shall come forth, and be born of a woman and he shall redeem all mankind who believe on his name."
Alrighty, peace out y'all!

Like, "Hey, what's your name and your favorite temple?
Is your toothbrush pink? Is your cat's name Kevin?
Did it really hurt when you fell from heaven?"
Gotta love Alma, all those wars
Hey, I lost my phone number. Can I have yours?
Wanna go out? Just tell me when.
Is love at first sight or should I walk by again?
Do you want another hug? Well I guess three's good.
Tell me. Would ya like to hold the priesthood?
Are you tired? That's super powers.
You've been runnin' through my mind for the last 8 hours.
In all these weeds, you're the flower.
If beauty is a castle, you're the tallest tower.
Girl you rock it! Just go show me,
How strong is your testimony?
Finer than the fine tip of a pencil.
Sharper spiritually than the power of ten cyl-
-lindars, 'cause she endures way to the end.
I'm so freakin' glad she's my facebook friend!"

Things You Probably Don't Know About Me
1. Burt's Bees chapstick is pretty much the best thing invented.
2. Teal is my favorite color. Not blue, not green. But teal.
3. My favorite song is a tie between "Love Song" by Sarah Barellies and "Hollywood" by Michael Buble.
4. Favorite outfit: Carhartt overalls. Don't judge.
5. If I could go anywhere in the world, it would most definitely be Italy. More specifically, Verona. But I do want to see all of the country.
6. I think panda bears are amazing.
7. In my opinion, Garret Hedlund is the most handsome man alive.
8. My favorite scripture is D&C 90:24. Look it up.
9. I can't stand broccoli or cauliflower.
10. I want a hairless cat when I grow up... and declawed.
11. Autumn is the best season, for sure.
12. I'm a complete baby when it comes to scary movies. Like, of any sort. No clue why.
13. Pretty much every book/movie I've ever read/watched has made me cry at some point.
14. I've never had my ears pierced.
15. I think tulips are gorgeous. They're so bright and happy!
16.... Blah, I can't think of any thing else. But if I do, I'll let ya know!
So, I'm reading this book, "Stand a Little Taller" by Gordon B. Hinkley. It's got a scripture for each day, so I thought that each time I post on here I'll share the scripture of the day. So here goes!
"Learn of me and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me." - D&C 19:23.
Well, I think this is gonna be it for today. Later y'all!
